Camp fire cooking!

Dad and I lit a fire in our front yard to cook some dinner,  Mum and I cooked damper on two sticks.

We wrapped the damper around the sticks like sausages.  Then we stuck it in the flame

Before we started cooking the damper Dad said, "Hold it above the flame, not in it!"

So I did what I was told and it took ages.  So I stuck the damper in the middle of the flame.  It took five minutes.

When it was cooked I asked Mum to put some honey on it but she dropped it!  When I picked it up I got honey all over my hands!  I licked it off but all I got was a mouthful of dirt.

Riding with Dad

One afternoon Dad and I went for a ride on the motorbike to get the Hilux.

On the way down to the river we past a miniature Grand Canyon. As we were going alongside the river Dad said, "Do you think we can get over?"

"You can, but I'm hopping off!"

So Dad decided to go over the bridge.

As we were heading towards the bridge Dad said, "Do you think we can get over that metal heap?"

"You can but I'm hopping off," I replied.

After we to over the bridge we rode down to the woodshed where the Hilux was. Dad drove the motorbike onto the trailer and we sped home.
